Salvatore Filippone c420d65d9e Applied changes from Daniela & c. 
Switched to MLD_ for everything.
Wrote thin PSB_PREC shell around MLD_, using renaming. 
The implementation may change when PR 32364 in Gnu Fortran gets fixed.
